We stayed here to be near the total eclipse without paying the prices in the zone of totality. What a delightful surprise! Executive double room was charming, clean and comfortable. Automated check-in was so easy. Very nice grounds. We will be back for a longer stay!

The lobby area is such a cute spot to explore! We got the double king room for our family and it worked out beautifully. The kids slept great and everything was clean! The new bedding and cleaners were a big step up for us from staying in Shelbyville last year. Excited to see what other changes are to come!

The new processes have been so slick. We were given our code to get in our room and everything was clean with new bedding from last time I stayed in this hotel. I spoke with the staff a bit while there and they all were super helpful and cheerful. Great little hotel close to everything in town! The historic home was a blast to walk around in and see while we were there too. The kids loved it.

Rooms could use a refresh, but overall it's a great place to stay for a weekend. Plenty of space in the room, hot showers, responsive temperature controls, and quiet nights for sleeping mean it checks all the boxes. The TVs in the rooms have some parental controls in place, which is a little unusual, but you can still access the full complement of usual channels and watch your favorite shows. The staff is very friendly and will do what they can to make sure you have a great stay.

My mom and I stayed in one of the larger rooms of the hotel and it was great! We loved seeing the historic house during the check-in process and had a great stay in Shelbyville. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave with a coffee pod maker. And it’s walking distance to a bunch of places nearby and only a few minutes from the beach!

Owner Ken is gracious and warm-hearted. The staff do an excellent job cleaning the rooms and leaving everything just right. We've been staying at Ken's over many years of family reunions in the local area and recommend you give the Shelby Inn a try - it's within walking distance of Druby's, the local place for ice cream and burgers, and so much more. The Shelby Inn also has a charming shaded place to sit outside when family members are meeting for morning coffee!

Had a family reunion, and everyone enjoyed their stay at Shelby Inn. Sure, it's nothing fancy. It's a town of 5,000, and we're lucky to have them. They're clean rooms and reasonably priced.

Very nice place to stay and close to everything. The office hours are 7am to 9pm and if you can't be there then they have a special way to make sure you get your keys to your room. I don't want to put it on here so I don't spoil the surprise. The house has an unusual story that goes with the reason why it's on the national historic landmark registry. The people that run this motel are very friendly and very accommodating. I will stay here Everytime I go to Shelbyville.

I stayed at The Shelby Inn two nights and let me tell you, THIS PLACE IS GREAT, nice and quiet, but still in the heart of the action, It has the most remarkable Host you can ask for, very friendly and informed about what is going on and where to go and the room was picture perfect!! Needless to say, I HAD A GREAT TWO NIGHT'S!!! Thanks to Mr Fry and his great staff

Really nice owner and the hotel is really well taken care of. Rooms are updated well with new TVs and nice furnishings.Update: am staying here again. Rooms have been clean and wifi works very well. Cleaning staff went above and beyond to keep the room fresh. :)
